Languages, namely German, English and Spanish, are my big talent. My parents and teachers discovered and boosted that talent early on. I also learned early in life how to communicate across cultural and language borders. I took my first steps in that field as a twelve-year-old in Swedish, later during prolonged stays in foreign countries in English and Spanish.
For more than ten years now, the respective author and I have turned often 'dry' subject matters into very readable texts. I have worked for ten years as a spokesperson for a top German banking industry association. I was responsible for a yearly publication in English and German, and I optimized a great variety of texts in both languages. Part of my job was also to write speeches (again in English and German) for CEOs and members of the board. I have been a proofreader since 1999. Academic basis for my work are two German degrees, one in law (Erstes Juristisches Staatsexamen) and one in business administration (Diplom-Betriebswirt).
I have more than ten years of editorial experience for publications in the fields of banking, real estate, railways and law.
In my spare time, I love to put on my jogging shoes and go jogging. It clears my mind. Sometimes I also participate in jogging events, like 10 km runs or a half-marathon. These runs are much like I imagine writing a doctoral thesis to be: a bad drudgery under sometimes defeating circumstances. Yet that is no comparison to the feeling you have once you have crossed the finish line. And to the pride you feel in the days and weeks afterwards.
